I 
was studying in Copenhagen, Denmark when I started boxing. I went there with a study abroad program from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. I had my first 5 amateur fights there in 1971 – 1972. When I returned, I moved to St Paul, Minnesota and continued boxing. With trainer Del Bravo’s help and guidance, I won the Upper Midwest Golden Glove Heavyweight Title in 1975 & 1977, and then turned pro. I had 10 pro fights, winning seven. I was fortune to be able to return to Denmark in 1979 for three fights, my last being in 1980. I’ve remained an ardent student and fan of the sport, and I’m honored to be a Board Member of the Minnesota Boxing Hall of Fame.
